CS8 front scaled -Mini Coach World (MCW) and Treka Bus have joined forces in a new partnership to bring Treka’s new British-built 8m CitySprint to private operators across the UK, with first deliveries expected from February 2027.

Treka is extending its CitySprint range with a new 8m low-floor variant, which will be available through MCW alongside Treka’s existing direct sales channels. The CitySprint 8 will offer capacity for up to 26 passengers and one wheelchair position, while retaining the accessibility, passenger comfort and compact operating characteristics of the existing 7-meter model.

The partnership combines Treka’s British manufacturing and specialist vehicle expertise with MCW’s established position in the UK minibus and small bus market.

Mini Coach World will act as a specialist sales channel for CitySprint 8 within the private operator market, using its established customer relationships and sector knowledge to promote the vehicle, while also providing funding and part-exchange options to give operators an end-to-end purchasing solution, and an additional route to CitySprint ownership.

The move follows a strong first 12 months for CitySprint 7, which has gained traction with both private operators and local authorities across local bus, community transport, demand-responsive and supported services. That early success has strengthened Treka’s confidence in the wider CitySprint platform and created a natural foundation for the new 8m model which is manufactured in the UK and backed by UK-based parts, technical support and aftercare, while investment in the product helps support skilled jobs, domestic suppliers and local manufacturing capability.

Paul Gardner, Managing Director of TSUK (Leeds) Ltd, said:

“We’ve been really impressed by Treka’s approach to manufacturing, the quality of the product and the depth of engineering capability, backed by decades of experience working with the Sprinter platform. There’s also a strong alignment between our businesses in terms of quality and customer service, which made this a very natural partnership for us. CitySprint is a product we genuinely believe in, and the new 8m model gives even more choice for private operators.”

John Randerson, CEO of Woodall Nicholson Group, said:

“This is a very complementary partnership. Treka brings the manufacturing capability, engineering expertise and a proven low-floor product, while Mini Coach World brings an established customer base, deep knowledge of the private operator market and a complete commercial offering around the vehicle. Working with MCW gives us an additional route into a market where their experience and relationships are extremely strong.”
